Welcome to Sugar Creek Elementary School!  Thank you for considering the Community School Corporation of Southern Hancock County. 

We are the largest and newest of the elementary schools in the district. Sugar Creek Elementary School was opened in the fall of 2000 as the third elementary school in our community, serving families from the western portion of our district. We are dedicated to setting high expectations for our students and helping students at all levels reach their best potential.

Sugar Creek Elementary offers a wide-variety of programs that are unique to our school. We are large supporters of state academic competitions and also provide many opportunities for our students in the visual and performing arts. We also have exciting after-school programs to extend learning beyond the normal school day for our students.

You should expect that your child/children will be challenged at an appropriate level that will stretch them academically. I challenge you to become involved in your child's school life by becoming active in our PTO, and/or volunteering on occasion at the school.

We pride ourselves as a school on good two-way communication with our families. Please take time to read our electronic communications from the office and your child's teacher. We are always available to answer any questions you may have regarding your child's school progress academically, socially and emotionally at Sugar Creek Elementary.
